The LCA Bread and Butter

I often get asked what knife I make the most. Well, I start off by telling them I’ve NEVER made the same knife twice . They may look alike and have the same pattern and handles, but they are always different. However, the most types, we have sold, are a spear point type hunter . Most knives I make are from leaf springs , which is 5160 spring steel, and in the 4 to 6 inch I blade range and usually have a composite wood or polycyclic scales . I like 5160 because it’s tough and very forgiving . I get few warps during heat treat as well. I love the challenge of composite wood scales ( different types of wood in a handle) . It takes patience and exactness.
